Design & Development
• Estimates size of backlog items
* Translation of backlog items into engineering design and logical units of work (tasks)
* Evaluation of technical feasibility
* Implementation of backlog items
* Writes unit tests first to the contract of the interface and other abstract classes
* Writes and verifies code which adheres to the acceptance criteria
* Application of product development best practices
IoT Support
• Support IoT platform utilization services
• Work with Product Management Deployment Services to successfully deploy services
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving IoT device solutions
• Participate in the analysis, configuration, support and ongoing maintenance of the IoT platform
• Participate in oversight of technology upgrades
• Subject Matter Expert for teams performing device analysis and certification processes with integration to IoT product solutions
IoT Product Roadmap
• Contribute to the architecture design of Honeywell’s enterprise IoT core services platform
• Act as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) to product management and deployment teams, customer teams, and third party business partners and technology organizations
• Continuing to remain current on the latest IoT technology
• Research and deploy new tools and technologies to build a sustainable IoT platform
Knowledge & Qualifications
BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or Equivalent experience
Experience in software development: designing, developing & debugging scalable solutions, preferably 1-5 yrs
Experience executing projects utilizing Agile methodology, preferably 1-3 yrs
Practical experience in : .Net, C#, Java, Docker, Web Services, SOAP, REST, Azure ARM, PowerShell
• Experience SW development
• Possess solid understanding of software development fundamentals
• Experience with contemporary development tools such as Git, continuous integration, automated testing frameworks, etc
* Practical experience in : AGILE development, SCRUM and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) with one or more of the following programming languages: .NET, C++, Java, JSON, PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby on Rails, Pig/Hive
* Through knowledge about performing Sys admin tasks using Chef Recepies or Puppet modules, Docker containers and Shell Scripts
• Experience working in DevOps model
• Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment
• Actively collaborates with engineers and peer teams, voluntarily shares information
• Passionate about learning new technologies and creating innovative solutions
• Self-directed and able to troubleshoot and solve problems independently as well as a team
* Development experience with Drupal 7.x and PHP 5.x.
* Demonstrates ability to configure Drupal and create custom Drupal modules using the core API such as CTools, Views, and Panels.
* Strong hands-on experience in PHP, HTML 5, CSS3, Javascript/JQuery, Bootstrap.js |
